The History of Jenkins Farm Market & Deli

Don & Jan Jenkins realized the need to market the fresh vegetables grown on the fertile muck lands of Arkport to the local people instead of shipping them to the city markets. In 1972, Jenkins Farm Market was established. It soon became a popular place for the local people to shop and grew six additions through the years.

Don and Jan grew up in the Dutch Country of Pennsylvania and missed the meats and cheeses from that area. In 1991, the deli was added with all the tasty Dutch Country meats and cheeses now available locally.

The family-owned-and-operated market and deli has now passed on to Keith and Fay Jenkins. We draw customers from a much larger area. We strive to provide the freshest fruits and vegetables, as well as bulk foods, spices, fresh-made salads, subs, bakery items, Hershey's ice creams, soft custard, deli meats, and cheeses. Now, we also stay open year-round for the shopping convenience of our customers.
